Aquifers - Galen&Josh

Aquifers are underground storage areas that contain water. These water sources can be very useful to people as fresh water can be drawn from the underground with wells.

This image below shows how water will be underground at a certain depth if the ground is permeable enough to hold water.

Most of the ground you walk on will have water under it. Although you may not notice it. There are two parts of the aquifers, the saturated zone, and the unsaturated zone. The saturated zone is completely saturated with water while the unsaturated zone has very little water compared to the saturated zone. (Below)
